Choo Choo Words

Spell words. Build track. Outrun the train.

How to Play

1

Spell words by dragging tiles from your rack onto the board. Words must connect crossword-style to existing tiles.

2

Build track ahead of the train. Each valid word extends the rail in the direction you played it.

3

Outrun the train. It starts slow but accelerates. When it catches you, game over. Highest score wins the week.

The Star

Star

Each board has a star placed on the map. Build your track through it to earn 8 bonus track cells — extra breathing room and more time to score points. Not every run reaches it. The ones that do show up with a star on the leaderboard.

Scoring

Each tile has a point value based on its letter. Premium squares multiply tile scores (double/triple letter) or entire word scores (double/triple word). Rare letters like Q, Z, X, and J are worth more.

The weekly leaderboard ranks players by their best single run. Play as many times as you want — only your highest score counts.

Weekly Challenge

Every Monday, a new board is generated with a unique layout of blockers, premium squares, and a star position. The board stays the same all week — replay to learn the layout, refine your strategy, and climb the leaderboard.

Each week also brings a different set of modifiers that change the rules — a smaller rack, no premium squares, a shorter grace period, or an extra tile — with more modifiers coming soon. No two weeks play the same.
